Yes.... haha... was suppose to update this like 3 days ago? lol... but yea... anyway... better than nothing....
Well.... first of all, Thank God for providing a Male SM... His name is Moses... :) Was kinda worried if our SM would be Eliza... or Yvonne...
Yepz... Well... my walk with God hasn't been fantastic actually... been struggling a lot... Guess it's becoz of project work and all... having to balance my timetable to do ministry stuff as well as manage school stuff... It's been really tough if you were to ask me... Dread sundays... becoz that means Monday and Tuesday are coming.... Project days.... Haven't been reading my Bible as often as i would love to... Miss holidays actually... so much time can be spent on just waiting upon the Lord... Praying for things that are on God's heart... Think I'm beginning to lose that passion as school work and ministry work piles up.
God has always been good... remember just before DG started... I said a little prayer asking God to teach me something from his Word... Didn't prepare DG before hand actually... haha... But yea... God still spoke to me none the least...
Topic was "Owning Your Own Growth..." I was like Wow... when I saw the title... Just what I needed... a evaluation of my relationship with Jesus... To cut the story short, we visited the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:1-23). Evaluation? I'm the seed that fell among the thorns, grew up & choked it. Hears God's Word... but letting the worry of the world choke me...
Must say it's a familiar passage that I've read a couple of times... always reading but never applying... God was like slapping me once again.... *Piak* in the face...
Many a times we know what is the good and perfect way... Of course all of us want to be like the good soil... Hearing the Word, Making every attempt to understand and apply the Word... and practising the Word of God... but just how many of us actually get down to doing it?
Doing business with God does not mean reading the Word... but meditating upon his Word DAY & NIGHT... so that when trials and temptations come, we can take on the Full armour of God and distinguish the flaming arrows that the Evil one is throwing at us. The evil one is always there to see how he can pull us down.... Shouldn't we equip ourselves for the battle?
Oh well... If you ever thing that a simple verse like this is easy to understand... I challenge you to think what's the next step? Hearing the Word of God is not enough... APPLICATION is important... If not we will be like the seed that is on Rocky places...
Prayer:
Abba Father... Thank you for revealing to me that my relationship with you takes precedence over anything else in this world... Help me to focus on heavenly treasures which are everlasting... Help me to look to you for strength... Look to you for comfort... Look to you for guidance... No longer will I live my life they way I want, but according to your will... Yours and Yours alone... In Jesus Name, Amen.
